Trip of the day- Would you spend a night in this prison?

The Librije’s Hotel in Netherlands

Just saw this article over at the CHIVE on a prison that was converted into a luxury hotel in the Netherlands. All I can say is that, if I ever had to do hard time somewhere, this place would be at the top of the list. http://www.librijeshotel.nl/78/home/

The Clink restaurant in the Liberty Hotel in Boston

Or, if you won’t be crossing the Atlantic anytime soon, but were still looking forward to that locked up feeling, The Liberty Hotel in Boston has you covered. The hotel also has five restaurants with different themes, so If you happen to be fiending for the old grilled cheese made with an iron, look no further… Just kidding, I just checked the menu and it’s a little more upscale. They do have a Grilled Three-Cheese sandwich with Vine-Ripened Tomato and Sweet Potato Fries and La Quercia Prosciutto but I think they might have skipped the ironing part which is probably a plus in this case. http://www.libertyhotel.com/food_and_drink/clink.html

Trip of the day- Ouray Ice Park

The Ouray Ice Park in Ouray Colorado. Ouray is approx 300 miles Southwest of Denver. This is a man made ice park that’s owned and managed by the City of Ouray together in cooperation with public and private landowners. The Ice park is free and open to the public, so get your ice axe and crampons ready. If you would like to try out the Ice Park but don’t know where to start, check out one of the local guiding services. The cost is about 300.00-400.00 for a two day intro course including equipment. Here’s a list of some local guides http://ourayicepark.com/travel-planner/guiding-services/
