North Clear Creek Falls in the Rio Grande National Forest is one of Colorado’s largest and one of the most photographed waterfalls in the state. Part of the popularity is the ease of accessibility. The observation post is open year round, handicap accessible and located right off Highway 149. So, whether it’s summer and you’re looking for a scenic drive, or it’s winter and you’re looking to do some ice climbing be sure and add this place to your list of places to go. Also, if you have time and it’s winter check out the nearby town of Lake city and their Ice Park as well.
